The truth about love is that it
sucks.
At first, you think it’s grand. You think
maybe all those stupid songs and obnoxious poems actually know what they’re
talking about. When you’re with him, you find yourself smiling for no reason at
all, and it’s the best feeling in the world.
But then you fight. Over something big,
over nothing at all, it doesn’t matter. You fight.
And he leaves. You’re so mad you think
you don’t care.
But then he finds someone else.
And you realize you do care. And it’s
more than you can handle. And it sucks.

Note: This story is from the point of view of my character Suzerra. I had no ideas for this prompt, and I've been painfully sick all week and Suzerra's the only character who's stuck with me, so I let her take this one. Unfortunately, she's a bit of an angst ball right now. So, sorry for the drama.

I think prompts can be a good way to get to know your characters better. When I wrote journal entries for school, it was really helpful to write my 15 lines as character sketches so I knew the background for the various stories I was writing at the time.
And everything Suzerra says about love is true . . . although there can be some pretty great things about it too :D
that was cool to see inside your characters pov for this. Nice job.
Great look into your character! And I love the term 'angst ball', makes me laugh.
I think there's been a few times in my life where I could relate to this character. Love sometimes can suck. Nice job!
Great turning point at "But then he finds someone else." I also like how it started and stopped with "it sucks."
