Flash Fiction Friday - Where Did You Go?

“I love you,” you say.
“I love you, too,” I said.
“What was that?” asked the man behind the counter.
            You laugh like music.
            “You're so beautiful,” I said.
“I think you’ve had enough,” said the man.
“Let’s dance!” You leap up from your chair and you spin across the floor. The light shimmers in your copper brown hair. Your skirts are flower petals caught in the wind.
            I dance, too.
            “Whoa, buddy, you alright?”
            “Someone call him a cab.”
You spin and you spin. But you’re drifting away.
“Sleep it off, buddy. You’ll be alright.”
            Where did you go?

This is great! I love how it shows the whirlwind that meeting someone can be.

I can't help but wonder if he's just 100% intoxicated or, knowing you :D, if he's seeing something from a different world or time.

This may sound silly, but I really like your use of italics :D
